Is Læsk Kombucha alive?
Yes! Læsk Kombucha contains live and active bacteria. Our key strain is Bacillus subtilis HU58 – a resilient bacteria known for surviving even in shelf-stable conditions.
Does Læsk Kombucha need refrigeration?
Not anymore. Thanks to our innovative new culture, Læsk Kombucha is shelf-stable and can be stored at room temperature. Even after 12 months, it still contains over a billion live Bacillus subtilis HU58 bacteria per can – confirmed through testing.
How is Læsk Kombucha made?
Læsk Kombucha is brewed using organic green tea, sugar, and a symbiotic culture of bacteria and yeast (also known as a SCOBY). The mixture is traditionally fermented for 10–14 days, during which most of the sugar is converted into organic acids and complex flavors. After fermentation, we blend it with fresh, high-quality juices and infusions - right before canning.
Where do you ship to?
We currently ship within Denmark in 1–3 days. Soon, we’ll be expanding to selected EU countries. Læsk Kombucha is also available through wholesalers in Norway and Greece - reach out if you want more info or a local contact.
